Stisi Group and local business Clancys Solicitors and Estate Agents are teaming up to offer free First Home Fund information sessions this January, to first-time buyers in East Lothian.
The mortgage and property experts want to ensure that local first-time buyers don’t miss out, as funding through the new scheme will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
Why you need to know more about the First Home Fund
Think of the First Home Fund as like an interest-free loan – with no monthly repayments. We’ll say that again: an interest-free loan, with no monthly repayments.
As first-time buyers, the scheme offers you up to £25,000 towards the cost of the deposit on your first home. This means that the home that you’ve been dreaming of, but thought you could never afford, is suddenly an exciting reality!
Hear from the experts at free information sessions
Mortgage and property experts Stisi Group and Clancys Solicitors and Estate Agents are inviting first-time buyers and their families to join them for free information sessions about the First Home Fund.
Stisi Group’s Managing Director, Ross Stisi, said: “We’re delighted to welcome folk to these information events. The First Home Fund is a genuinely exciting new Help to Buy scheme, and we’re looking forward to seeing it boost home ownership in East Lothian.
“Our information sessions will be relaxed and informal. We want to give everyone the opportunity to discover more about the First Home Fund, find out how it works and to learn exactly how it could benefit them. Funding from the scheme will be on a first come, first served basis so we’re keen to help as many local first-time buyers as possible.
“It’s free to attend the information sessions, but spaces are limited so we recommend that folk book their place quickly.”
There will be two sessions, both held on Saturday 18th January. The venue is the beautifully restored historic Adam Ferguson building at Eskmills Business Park, Musselburgh.
Could the First Home Fund be right for you?
Are you a first-time buyer with a low deposit? If so, the First Home Fund could really help! We understand that between trying to save for a large deposit, and strict lending criteria making mortgages with low deposits harder to obtain, it’s not always easy to get your foot on to the property ladder.
The Scottish Government is funding the First Home Fund, as they seek to offer additional financial help to first-time buyers.
While some help is out there, the existing Help to Buy scheme in Scotland is limited to new build houses only and the current shared equity LIFT scheme is also far too restrictive, in part due to the criteria for eligibility and property price thresholds. So, the new First Home Fund could be just what you need!
Book your free place
Stisi Group anticipates high demand for these information sessions, and places are limited for each session with the experts. Therefore, early booking is recommended!
