We are very excited to announce that Team Stisi are taking part in Boogie in the Morning’s 5k-a-Day, so we can help support Radio Forth’s charity Cash for Kids.
What’s the 5k-a-Day challenge?
Great question – we’re glad you asked! Radio station Forth One set the challenge, to complete 5km of exercise every day of October. Participants can walk, jog, run, cycle, or whatever they fancy – they just have to get moving, and complete their daily 5k.
The 5k-a-Day aims to provide a fun fitness challenge, while raising money for the charity Cash for Kids. The challenge encourages people into a healthier lifestyle, helping them to improve their fitness and form healthy habits.
Why is Stisi Group taking part?
We all feel that, as a local business, we have a role to play in our local communities. We know that there are children and young people living in hardship here, and Cash for Kids makes a real difference for them. So, taking part in this challenge gives us the oportunity to help those in need living in Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife and Falkirk.
Five of Stisi Group‘s finest will be taking on the 5k-a-Day challenge throughout October, after one of the team told us about the challenge, and then convinced us we could do it… A huge round of applause to Bearded Broker Ross, Craig, Sarah and Chris! If you haven’t met our team yet, take a peek at them over on the About Stisi Group page. They are all excited to take on the challenge, as well as to make a difference to their overall physical and mental health.
How are you raising money?
As part of the 5k-a-Day challenge, Forth One have given us an online donations page. Take a look – we’ll be posting updates here, showing our progress and sharing photos of the team in action. We’ll also be gratefully collecting any donations folk are kind enough to make.
Every penny counts! So, every donation – no matter how small – contributes to the grants that Cash for Kids can give out to support the most vulnerable young people. If you’d like to donate, even £1 will make a difference. The money participants raise will be used to help alleviate poverty, support disability and improve quality of life.
Check out our team page and donate here.
We’d love to see your messages of support too. So, even if you feel you can’t donate right now, please show the team some love! You can also look out for updates and photos on our Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages – you know you want to!
